"Sit down ya drunk!" Came a shot from the back of the Lounge, another whistled and some clapped at the toast. Drew now in a slightly better mood from when she first 'arrived' at the bar shrugged the silly mortals off.
Drew giggled at the idea of vampires getting drunk. It was amusing that they both thought about the idea probably about the same time.
"I've no idea. But....I guess we are gonna be finding out." Drew stole the shot Azula poured for her and pondered his inquiry about her family. "My family....hmmm." Drew turned her back to the crowd, taking a seat now. "Well, I think I am the only childe of my sire." Drew glanced at the liquid in the shot glass, her brows arched in thought.
"A lot of us all live, well at least part time, in the same place. And we are all unique I guess." Drew put the shot to her lips and smiled, letting the liquor fall into her mouth. She giggled and bounced lightly in her seat.
"I mean, I guess everyone says that about their family, but it is certainly true. Though a few of us have passions about magic, most of our abilities are very different." Drew placed her empty shot glass on the table and grabbed for the bottle, pouring herself another.
"Enough about family though...and our differences." Drew wrinkled her nose and pushed her hair off her face. "Why don't we end our differences on another drink and see if we have any similarities on the dance floor?" Drew smiled wistfully, leaning lightly on the table.

I smiled and swallowed hard as she mentioned a dance, I quickly pour another shot and down it instantly "Dance you say that sounds very interesting" I start to blush and pour another shot
"I can't remember the last time someone asked me to dance let alone trying in to dance" I rubbed my eyes and take another shot trying to think of the last time i had and if i was any good "Are you sure you don't want to talk about family some more?" I laugh and pour myself another trying to muster up some courage to actually dance "If I have to dance you will have to teach me something" I smile hoping she would decline my offer and I would be off the hook.

Drew watched in amusement as Azula began to drink not one, not two but looking like he was going to go on his third shot before they got to the dance floor. Her eyes laughed in amusement and she put a hand over his shot glass, some liquor spilling onto her hand.
"Woah, cowboy." Drew giggled and licked the liquor off the back of her hand. "So dancing isn't your forte I see." She grabbed her own glass, acknowledging another drink for herself. She thought about her family and shook her head no.
"Uh-uh. I am new myself and don't know much about them...it's a short story I am afraid. Perhaps you'd like to meet them sometime? I am sure I could arrange a meeting of sorts with some of them...for a dance." Drew wasn't going to sit in a bar like a fly on the wall all night. She stood up, and extended her left hand towards Azula.
"I promise I don't bite. You're a vampire anyways." Drew giggled and waited.

I take hold of my shot and try to tip the shot back being firmly stopped by Drew's hand I look up at her as she slowly licks her hand "You could say that" I take the shot as she moves her hand I try not to spit out my drink as she explains that she is quite new to her family as well I swallow the drink and looked back at her "Well I would not mind meeting them if there as nice as you"
I sigh and place my hand on hers "How can i say no to someone so beautiful" I stagger a bit slowly standing up and stretch my arms out. I hold her hand "Now shall we?" I lead her toward the dance floor moving over to the dusty juke box "Now what is it that the lady requests of the "Music Box" " I start to laugh and quickly stop "Oh please don't tell me we can get drunk" I said to myself.

Drew smiled at winning the dancing battle. While she herself was not the best of dancers, this slight interlude did one of two things. Got the cowboy to slow down on his booze intake, and took his mind off her family matters. She didn't know what her family would like her talking about, and knew so little about the family to comment much more than she did.
As he commented on her beauty again, Drew smiled on this go around. Flattery was every girl's best friend....
As he led her to the floor and then the juke box, Drew pursed her lips together glancing at the songs it held. She frowned at the selection, most of it being old rock like Skinner and then some of it being Brian Adams or country. Shaking her head at the country and rock, Drew pressed two buttons and made her way to the floor, pulling him along.
A song played and Brian Adams lyrics echoed in the room. A few groans and moans were heard from a few in the bar, but Drew just ignored them. No girl was gonna be dancing to Skinner, at least not this girl.
Turning to a halt, Drew wrapped her arms around Azula's neck and giggled about his getting drunk comment. She wasn't sure, but she felt a lot more realized then when she came into the bar. And the way Azula was handing out complements and giggling, Drew was certain that alcohol may impare a vampire in some way or another.
"Well, it's a good thing we slow'd your roll perhaps." Drew took the lead more or less with the dancing. Swaying her body to the tune, she pondered about this vampire. Resting her head on his shoulder, she listened to the sounds in the bar.
"Trying to forget something, or rather' someone tonight?" Drew pulled her head up to study his face, expressionless on her own. She pondered why someone, especially a vampire would want to get so drunk. She released her arms from around his neck and grabbed his right hand, spinning herself away from him on the small dance floor.
"You're not that bad of a dancer, perhaps a few more drinks and you'll be relaxed enough to actually enjoy this." She giggled lightly, and swung herself back to his frame.

I looked over at the lone bottle and sigh as she smiles about stopping my roll. I move my hands down to her hips and sway with the music trying to think about all of the dance classes i had been dragged to as a kid
As I ponder Drew quickly looks up at me and asks my why I have been drinking a single tear rolls down my cheek as i think about it I smile and quickly spin her body out and twirl her back on to my body quickly wiping the tear as she move back to me.
I smile "Well I'm not that drunk yet" I move forward and arch her back over my arm in a dip. I lean over "Maybe I do know a few moves" I smile trying to forget why i am here.

Drew was impressed with Azula's moves. She was speechless for a second. Here she was under the impression he was trying to avoid dancing like most men do for fear of their lack of skills, but it seemed that was not the case with Azula. Granted he was not the suavest of dancers, he was not the worst. She thought back to a highschool dance and her date and rolled her eyes as she felt herself being dipped by Azula.
Drew smiled at his not being drunk statement and then talking about him having moves. She felt him lean closer as he said that and she felt her body tense lightly. It wasn't because she did not enjoy his company, it was because she felt guilty for dancing with him.
"You're not that bad." Drew agreed with him tried to maneuver into a different dancing position, but that was hard to do now that he took the lead.
"You don't say much do you?" Drew realized she never got an answer to her question about his drinking and why he was here. This time Drew tried to be a little bit more forceful with being stood upright, to continue their dancing.

I twirled her from my frame and looked over at the juke box quickly selecting something a bit slower. I quickly select American pie and quickly swing Drew back in to my frame. I let go of her hand quickly place my hands on her hips and slowly start swaying her body from side to side.
I sigh and look back at her "Why are you so interested in why I'm drinking so much and do I really trust you to talk about what I am thinking?"
I close my eyes and listen to the music trying to push any memory's of "that" night from my mind. I slowly open my eyes to look at drew to see her red flowing hair and I snicker "Had to be a red head" I whisper to myself. My eyes widen and I cough, quickly hoping she did not hear.

Drew smiled as he selected another song, not seeming to want to end their dancing. She listened as he spoke, part of her agreeing with what he said. He didn't know her from adam and for all he knew she could be...well anything.
Azula made a comment about redheads and Drew felt her temper flaring up. She and her sisters always had heard that growing up, which was total nonsense. "Fine, we don't have to talk. I enjoy dancing anyways." Drew bit her tongue, feeling herself start to take deep breaths. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to push what he said out of her mind....It'd be a shame for something to happen. Silly boy with his preconceived notions of redheads. We could always put some truth to it....
Drew snickered at the idea as the voice gently coaxed and coddled to her. Drew felt something pull at her ankles, not in a menacing way, but as a child would to get her attention. She glanced down, feeling something wrap around her left ankle. She watched as a dark shadow danced around her legs, hovering on the dance floor.
She heard some whispers and saw glances of shock, Drew kicked at the shadows and shook her head. But it'd be so fun!
"Not now." Drew didn't want herself being marked among any potential hunters here or outside. She closed her eyes and inhaled through her nose, thinking of just dancing. She felt the shadow fall closer to the floor, pulling backwards, now to a darkened corner in the bar.
"But between you and me, being a vampire, walking around for how ever long the fates decide to let you alone and friendless, seems to contradict why you are even allowed to be a vampire in the first place." Drew shrugged.
"I mean what is the point of living so long with your best friend being a bottle of booze?" Drew shot her head over to the bottle the two drank out of minutes before.
It had been a long night and I wanted to be by myself. I had had never been here before "Lounge" and really could use a drink or so. I oered my drink and found a dark place for me to sit and watch the people enjoying themselves. I thought "I could get use to something like this".

I frowned as I looked down at drew who was obviously pained when i mentioned redheads I sighed and thought to myself "I wish I had not uttered those words not that it was to but them down its just that she.." I shook my head and put my mind on dancing.
I smiled when Drew mentioned something that sounded very philosophical I looked down at her as she shot a dirty look to the bottle of whiskey.
"When I was a human I viewed my whole life through the bottom of a shot glass wishing there was something more to my life than the boring two dimensioned life I lead. Its just hard to kick the habit of doing that day in day out and with no real friends to speak of at the moment I just went straight to a nice cold cowboy" I sighed and hoped I had not bored her to much about my pitiful life before I became a vampire.
As I sat there watching people all around me..I was feeling kind of "antsy" and needed to see what this "city" was about! So, I decided to go up to the bar and listen to the people I had been watching; as I ask the bartender for a bottle of whiskey "It sounded good " as I thought to myself. "Im sure something will grab my attention "saying it under my breath.

Drew listened to his past life, never feeling that way herself she found it hard to find words....Well, the right kind.
She thought about it for a few seconds and then smiled. "Well thank goodness for second chances, hey?" Drew thought about it and spun herself away from her dance partner and grabbed the bottle they were sharing.
"To second chances, may they be far better than our first go around!" Drew took a swig right out of the bottle, and offered it over to Azula. Her eyes flitted over to another who crowded the bar now, babysitting some Whiskey.
"So let's make this life different then our last! Starting with that." She pointed at the bottle she handed over to Azula, letting him take the sip she offered moments before and then snatching the rest of it away. She threw it in the air, behind her and let it slam into the front side of the bar.
Eventually I grew tired of watching the people that would come in and leave! "I need to leave and find something of interest" I said to myself. Nothing had grabbed me in here and surely nothing that I haven't heard before. The "outlands"might be something to search about..well for now!

I smiled as she quickly changed the subject and we had a toast to are new lives I looked at the bottle as she quickly threw it behind her and gave me a cheeky grin I sighed as i saw my whiskey slowly drip to the bar floor
"Now that I have shared a little about my life how about you talk about your own?" I dipped her quickly and move my lips close to her hers
"Or do you want to continue being a tease?" I move her back up and continue dancing with a smile on my face

"Now that I have shared a little about my life how about you talk about your own?"
Drew parted her lips to start speaking, only to find Azula's hovered not too far from her own.
"Or do you want to continue being a tease?"
Drew watched his smile grow on his face as they continued to dance. Her eyes slitted close, not amused now. It was one thing to try and make a lame move on a lady who did not want it, another to go off and call her a tease because she didn't accept the pitiful attempt.
She smiled and nodded her head. "It's only fair." She took a deep breath in and chuckled. "Let's see, I'm the eldest daughter of my sire. I don't like booze much, and I am sure my boyfriend would disagree with your last comment." Drew spun away from Azula and gave kissed her hand, blowing it to him.
As she spun back towards him, her friendly disposition changed to something less pleasant.
"And if you ever insult me by your lame a$$ attempts to try and show a lady a good time, and then further insult her by remarking on her lack of swooning over the man that thinks he's the best damned thing that's walked in here..."She came closer to his face, her lips not far from his now..."I'll make sure that any magical spells my sire has taught me will pulverize your a$$." Drew pulled her face away from Azula's and shrugged her shoulders.
"Now, if you can behave as some respectable creature and clean up your act, perhaps we could still be friends." Drew held out her right hand, staring at Azula.

I sighed "A bit over dramatic but suppose I was a bit forward" I thought to myself and gave a quick nod to the barman. I kneel down in front of drew and kissed her hand "Please for give me your highness" I gave a quick smile and grabbed the bottle that the barman had set out for him and sat back down.
At the table I sat back down "Now less dancing more drinking and fun I think" I poured a shot "I must drink Drew there is no finer taste in this world than a good bottle of whiskey anyway I have no idea off your back round as a person before you were sired come sit* I push out a seat with my feet "Tell me all about it"
Post by Drew Draken on Sept 16, 2008 16:06:44 GMT -5
"Please for give me your highness" Her lips flicked in amusement, knowing he was being coy and cocky with her now. She waved her hand in the air, dismissing his behavior moments before.
"With such a sincere apology such as that...There is nothing to forgive." She patted his shoulder, looking down at him. She made sure that he made note of the fact that she was indeed looking down at him.
She stepped away from him, watching the tender bring yet another bottle of booze for him. She shook her head, wondering how he did not recognize that booze reflected his mind frame.
"I must drink Drew there is no finer taste in this world than a good bottle of whiskey anyway I have no idea off your back round as a person before you were sired come sit."
Drew nodded and watched as he kicked a seat out to her. They might not be the best of friends, but one could never complain about their company when free was behind it.
"Tell me all about it"
Drew placed her hands on the back of the seat that was offered, wrapping her arms around it as she made her way around it. Taking a seat, she grabbed a glass and bottle off the table, pouring herself another drink.
"Before I was sired?" Drew put the drink up to her lips, smelling the strong scent of whiskey. "I had a mom and dad. Couple of sisters and a twin even." Drew took a sip off the booze, feeling the liquor slide it's way down to her stomach, a small burn in her throat appeared. "Nothing too dramatic about it." She set the glass down on the table and let her eyes wander over to the others in the bar.

I sigh "I have no known you for very long yet you already like to distant yourself from people even if they get a tiny bit interested in you." I pour myself another shot and look back at her
"To bad your such a blood sucker we could of been quite good friends" I dig up an old conversation "Well all i wanted to know was why go down this path of killing humans they do me no harm so why should you go around slaughtering them? I sigh "Not that it matters I hardly think you are listening to me anyway." I grab the glass and take the shot and smiling at the sweet taste
"It really is a fine taste unlike some women I know" I smile
Post by Drew Draken on Nov 22, 2008 0:30:15 GMT -5
Drew listened to Azula as he spoke to her about her. She didn't dwell to much of what he said, he was just one vampire out of dozens if not more than that.
She watched as he poured another shot and she did the same in her own glass.
"Aww, now you break my heart Azula. You make it sound as if we can't ever be friends. Perhaps when neither one of us aren't impaired with the liquor floating around our systems we might be able to have a more civil conversation."Drew took the drink and almost spat out the drink at his next comment.
"If you think humans won't harm you, you have a lot to learn." Drew pulled the back of her hand to her lips and wiped them.
"Spend a whole night out in the streets of this damned city. If it's not vampires stealing off you, be it blood or money, it's hunters, most of which are human running around trying to claim any vampire as their next trophy."Drew returned her shot glass back to the table.
"Don't believe me?"She arched an eyebrow, almost daring him to say something different. They'd go find out for sure.
"And as for listening, I hear everything you are saying and everything you are not saying. Since the moment I was tossed in here, to the moment we went on the dance floor and now sitting here at this very table."
"And perhaps you should meet more women friends." Drew suggested rather cockily as she grabbed the bottle from Azula and put it up to her lips. Since there wasn't much in it anymore, she figured she'd just finish it off. Do them both the favor.
