He couldn’t explain how he really felt about his siress, his siblings, his nieces and nephews… They would ask questions; questions he can’t answer. They would wonder why he doesn’t defend the family like he should, but that phrase would always be there. Like a plague, it manifested itself within his mind with every blow they took – True bonds are stronger than blood, he thought. Isn’t that what this family was founded on? Are we expected to spill our blood for those we barely know, simply because they are related to us? He’s not one to go about meeting people and developing friendships along the way, related or not. That just wasn’t him. There were only a handful whom he trusted and would defend, and they know who they are… at least, he hoped.
Some may not agree with his way of thinking, but that was their problem. He wasn’t about to change his way of life because others found it dishonorable or just didn’t like it. The thought alone brought a sad smile to his face. That need for understanding and knowing of a smaller, more simple unlife drove him to his decision last night. He was still a little disappointed by his reaction to the whole ordeal, but… It was a reaction nonetheless.
It would be another week before his wife returned and to pass the time, he decided to visit with his family. There was one in particular that he wished to know better, other than have her swat him for his vulgar language or something along those lines. Removing his phone from the depths of his coat pocket, he sifted through a list of numbers until settling on that one… He hesitated for a moment, wondering if his past ‘fuck up’ affected her as it did with her siress. Only one way to find out, he thought and proceeded to call…
“Gittelbug… It’s Sepp. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind meeting me at the Lounge, past transgressions aside.”

Gittelbug paused where she stood, a dried herb dangling in her hand, and strained her ears to listen. Yes. There it was again a small, bright and airy, tune played from the other side of her sire's green house. Frowning she glanced up at the darkened sky trying to judge the time. It wasn't very late perhaps an hour or two after dusk so she wondered who could be calling. Her clan members did call often but she normally just stopped by their office if something was needed. Shaking her head from her thoughts she carefully placed the herb down on the table and brushed off her jeans, which she normally wore while gardening, and headed towards the cheerful tone. Picking up the phone she frowned at the screen she had dropped it while digging through her bag looking for her map thus it was hard to read the numbers and names. Most phones were sold in the more human areas of the city she hadn't really wanted to lurk around the area looking for a late closing shop.
"Hello?" she questioned picking up phone in a cheerful voice. “Gittelbug… It’s Sepp. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind meeting me at the Lounge, past transgressions aside.” the deeper voice at the other end. "Transgressions?" she questioned frowning. Quickly she scanned her mind for the last time she had spoken to the man. There was that one time she had made him work in the Moon-Reaper garden for his theft and destruction of plants. But that wasn't what he was talking about, was it? She frowned then it finally clicked. "Oh." she finally said in response. "Alright. I'm on my way." she replied clicking the 'end' button. She stared at the phone for a moment trying to figure out why Seppuku had called her. Finally she sighed figuring she wouldn't get much out of staring at the phone, after all it didn't know the answers. She glanced down at her jeans and wondered if she ought to change her clothes. On one hand showing up in dirty clothes would be rude to the lounge clients but on the other taking her time would be rude to Seppuku. Deciding she was fine as is Gittelbug shrugged her shoulders and walked back towards Aneres' tower to pick up her bag.
As she reached the lounge Gittelbug couldn't help that funny feeling wondering why Seppuku would call her out of the blue. She paused in the doorway and scanned the room for his familiar aura. spotting him no too far away she approached his table and offered him a small smile. "Good evening Seppuku." she greeted and moved towards the chair opposite of him.

With a soft smile, he closed the phone and slipped it back into his pocket. The last time they spoke, it was her telling him how to garden and, of course, he did a half-ass job of it. Ever since then, he’s been fairly quiet and usually kept to the shadows. It wasn’t unusual of him to do such a thing, but he felt the drama that took place shortly after had a part in his recent spell.
Just as his first glass of blood arrived, so did Gittelbug. He lifted his gaze from the warm beverage as she greeted him, "Good evening Seppuku.” He wrapped his fingers around the glass and nodded slowly in return. A good evening or a bad evening, Seppuku was unable to tell. So much had settled on his mind and he had a time limit in which to sort these particular thoughts. The outcome, though, may not be liked by everyone, but…
“Long time no see, eh Gittelbug?”
He quickly pushed those thoughts aside, not wanting to risk such information leaking out. Not that his cousin would do anything like that. It was just… the Lounge was open to any and all vampires. If one were to catch on, there was no telling what could happen. Then again, maybe it was just his overly cautious nature... Seppuku tended to be a little paranoid about things, which could be seen as a good idea sometimes, but there was a stopping point.
“I figured we could catch up on some things, seeing as we hardly talk as it is,” he added calmly before lifting the glass to his lips, sipping lightly at the blood. He wanted it to last as long as possible. Of course, he could order another, but he didn’t want it to look as if her presence was a burden – being that her line didn’t harm humans. He would hold off his bloodlust as best he could, but he figured it wouldn’t be that much of a problem considering he fed the night before. Seppuku immediately ceased his mental rambling and focused on the company of his cousin, which could be the last time he’d see her depending on what happens in the next week or so.

Nodding at Seppuku's greeting gittelbug slid into her chair and waited for him to say something. "Yes it's been awhile." she agreed. "I saw Ophy recently she got married as i'm sure you read. I didn't realize that it's been so long since then. She seems happy. It's funny how things can change so much, don't you think?" she said making small talk unsure of what to say or do. He seemed to have a lot on his mind and she again wondered why he had called her out like this. It seemed so unlike him. She shook her head from her thoughts and smiled politely as a waiter came to the table. Ordering her favorite drink, scotch on the rocks, she ignored the odd look the waiter gave her and turned her attention back to Seppuku who seemed ready to speak again.
He explained that he had called her out to catch up on things as they rarely spoke often. He called her here to catch up? She frowned. Why didn't that sit well with her? She understood him calling her on the phone or showing up at the manor but calling her, just her, out gave her a funny feeling. "Catch up?" she repeated. "You didn't destroy my garden again, did you?" she narrowed her eyes at him as if to access his reactions. "It took me long enough to clean up the mess you made trying to clean up the mess!" she sighed but smiled at the waiter as he returned with her drink. "So" she paused to sip her drink frowning at the taste. "I haven't seen Toy around in awhile. How is he doing? I hear his wedding was lovely. He must be so happy." she rambled on not really sure what to talk about or what Seppuku really wanted.

"I saw Ophy recently she got married as i'm sure you read. I didn't realize that it's been so long since then. She seems happy. It's funny how things can change so much, don't you think?"
He nodded slowly, “Yes…” Speaking of which, Ophy had contacted him the other day. They both seem to be on good terms once more, which pleased him as he wasn’t out to make enemies of his former sire. She had taught him so much. Of course, he’s learned right much from all of his sires and appreciated their help throughout his time in the city.
"Catch up?" she repeated. "You didn't destroy my garden again, did you?" she narrowed her eyes at him as if to access his reactions. "It took me long enough to clean up the mess you made trying to clean up the mess!" she sighed but smiled at the waiter as he returned with her drink.
Seppuku refrained from saying anything until the woman was finished. Her garden… Nope, he’d rather not set foot in that territory again. Besides, he doubted he would even approach the manor doors from now on. He simply shook his head at the talk of messing up her garden, hoping that she would believe him this time around, and peered down at his own drink.
"So" she paused to sip her drink frowning at the taste. "I haven't seen Toy around in awhile. How is he doing? I hear his wedding was lovely. He must be so happy." she rambled on not really sure what to talk about or what Seppuku really wanted.
He smiled, giving a soft ‘hum’ in amusement. “He is and that’s all that matters,” he replied. “Must be the reason why you haven’t seen him around, no?” He looked up from the glass, a hint of sadness seemingly finding its way into his expression. “He doesn’t visit me as much as I’d like, but it’s understandable,” he added, lifting the glass to his lips.
“Things are gonna change soon…”
Seppuku sat his glass down before him and nibbled lightly at his bottom lip. Would it even affect his cousin or has she already caught wind of it? His gaze shifted around, noticing the patrons all seemed to be engrossed in what they were doing. That, plus the location of his table, provided a comfortable atmosphere in which he could talk without one listening in on their conversation.
