I walked into the lounge and stared around. Why I came, I had no idea. I shook my head and walked to the bar, asking for a drink. When I got my drink, I nodded at the bartender with a smile and made my way to an empty table near the center of the lounge. I smoothed a ahnd over my 'little black dress'. It really wasn't that little. A little smile flirted with the corners of my lips.
I saw this in a dress shop and wondered if it would catch any eyes. Male eyes to be exact. I took a sip of my bloodwine and grimaced, still not liking the taste of wine mixed with blood. I have been here two years now and still I hadn't gotten over the taste. I shook my head and continued to watch people come in and out.
What exactly did I want? I knew I wanted a bondmate or binding. I had been alone for so long....I started feeling a coldness going into my bones, as if they were becoming brittle. But I knew that couldn't really happen, I was and am immortal. Nothing could kill me. Unless I i went out at dawn and dance with the sun as I liked to call it.
Taking a sip again, I mused that the thought had occurred to me more than once. I had heard that some of the ancients could indeed walk out in sunlight. But I wasn't one of them. I dont believe I got the status of 'ancient' yet. I shook my head with a sad smile and crossed my legs.
Xanthier had been a nice distraction but he was half lycan. One never knew what to expect with one such as he. He had his pack to worry about and a litter of pups from one of his females to take care of. And the hunters were suspicious of him as well. I almost grinned at that. Imagine the scrawny hunters trying to come up on and attack the big bad wolf. I felt a giggle come up my throat at the thought. But no, Xanthier was not for me. He was just a friend and always would be.
I glanced around yet again. This would probably take a lot more time that I expected, I thought to myself. I must be a pitiful creature to have to try and 'coerce' someone coming to my side. I sighed and ran a weary hand through my hair.

The streets of Ravenblack city were dimly lit and had made it hard for Damian to see when he had been human. But now his vampiric abilities made seeing the in dark as easy as child's play. After Nyu had introduced him to some of the family, he had decided to go and explore some for himself. Being Nyu's youngest, he still had to earn his permanent spot in the family, but he was fairly confident about doing so.
As usual, he dressed casually, wearing a white long sleeved shirt with the sleeves pushed up as always. Everyday demin faded blue jeans and shoes, with the small black cross around his neck. He wasn't really religious, but it was the only thing he had from his parents. His shirt was unbuttoned, also as always, he didn't mind his chest being visible. Damian didn't pay attention to the looks given to him by the girls standing on the street corners either. He wasn't looking for that kind of relationship, that is, if he ever found the right person to have a relationship with.
As he walked, he reached the lounge, where many of Ravenblack's vampires relaxed and met at. Deciding to check it out, he opened the door and walked inside. The room was better lit than outside, the small fireplace giving of a small source of light. Damian walked over to the bar and sat down, ordering himself a drink as the bartender disappeared. He returned a moment later with his bloodwine.
Nyu's linage forbid drinking human blood, but bloodwines were fine, or at least he thought they were. Damian disliked the idea of taking a life anyways, so he didn't have any trouble keeping that family rule. Taking a drink from the glass, the red liquid running down his throat as he set the glass down. The small breeze from outside had blown his golden bangs out of his eyes and they shown brightly in the dimly lit room.
He could smell the different scents of the other vampires in the room. So far Damian had only met a few members of his family and two Ashenvales. His sapphire eyes moved from face to face, just looking briefly at the strangers, none of which he knew. One thing that would have no cure in this immortal life was loneliness. He was beginning to feel that, just from missing his human sister. His eyes left their spot staring at the bar countertop as he picked up a vampiress's scent, who was also sitting by the bar, about two stools down from him.

I was wondering how long I had been sitting here, people watching. I didn't carry electronics such as cell phones on me. I had my telepathy in case I needed help or to talk. Call me old fashioned if you will.
I tapped my fingers on the table and took another sip of my bloodwine. I should go since no one was approaching. I started to get up when I saw a lone vampire going to sit down a couple tables away. He was young, not quite twenty yet and must have been newly turned for I hadn't seen him before. You have been away too or have you forgotten? I ignored the voice in my head and watched the young vampire.
He looked lonely as I was, but not to the extent that I had gone to look for a companion. I tapped my chin for a second then sent him a feeling of warmth. After he turned to me I smiled. "Would you like to join me?" I asked telepathically.

Damian felt eyes on the back of his neck and turned, meeting another pair of eyes, the vampiress a few tables down from him. In his mind he heard her telepathic message. Would you like to join me? She asked as she smiled at him. He didn't know her, not that he knew anyone else in the lounge. Still he was curious to meet someone outside of the family, and she seemed like she was looking for someone to talk to as well.
Damian nodded, returning her smile as he picked up his bloodwine and walked over to her. Remembering his manners, he bowed his head before sitting down. "Hello." He said, his voice sometimes bothered him. It held a little mysteriousness to it, which sometimes caught the wrong sort of people's attention. "My name is Damian Cole Emaleth. What is yours?" He asked her curiously.
His scent had Nyu's blood mixed into it, anyone who knew Nyu would know that he was her childe. He didn't recognize her scent, though he had only met a few others outside of his family. They were all Ashenvales, childe of Akane or Z. His sapphire eyes watched her as he waited for her to answer and introduce herself.

"My name is Ellora Gamril Kavannah," I said after he sat. I had smiled after he bowed to me. It reminded me of an old world kind of gesture but it was nice to know there were still gentleman running around. "Emaleth..." I murmured. The name was vaguely familiar. "Are you perhaps related to the Ashenvales?" Why I asked, I had no idea but anything to keep from going back home.
Oh, I wasn't afraid to go back. I loved my sire and grandmother and those who still remained with us. And my pet ferret and jaguar. I didn't want the loneliness to invade me when I went back. I would be tempted to do something foolish, such as search out the hybrid. And that was something I did not want for I told him our relationship was over.
I tipped my glass up and received only a drop. Frowning, I put it down and moved it away from me then looked back at Damon.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long to respond.
IC: Damian nodded as she introduced herself. Ellora.. He thought to himself. Many of the members of Ravenblack city had uncommon names. His wasn't heard very often, but it wasn't that unique or anything. He heard her mumble his last name and then ask if he was related to the Ashenvales.
He shook his head. "No. My sire is Nyu Emaleth Moonieon. I was given her middle name until I've earned the name Moonieon." He said, explaining why that might have thrown her off. Nyu had had to earn the name Moonieon from her sire Aneres as well. Being fully powered was part of earning the name Moonieon, which was why he was working so hard on this powers.
Damian had been brought into a large, caring family. Nyu did have certain rules that were to be followed, but it was worth it. He noticed her drink was empty as she moved it away from her. "Would you like another bloodwine?" He asked, noticing his own was almost empty as well.

(OOC:No worries ) IC: I nodded, understanding what he said. I never had that happen in my clan but it was interesting just the same. "I was curious, my sire was mated with an Ashenvale." At his question, I glanced at the empty glass. Should I have more? I didn't have much bloodwine normally but I assume one must have an acquired taste for it. But for some reason... "Please," I said with a smile. Maybe I wanted to get a tad tipsy tonight. "If you don't mind."

Damian nodded and rose as he walked over to the bar, waiting for the bartender. He ordered two bloodwines for himself and Ellora and leaned against the bar's countertop as he waited. The bartender returned in a few moments with both bloodwines in hand. Damian nodded to the man and took them before walking back over to his seat. He set one glass in front of Ellora and the other in front of him. "There you are mademoiselle." He said with a smile, sitting down in his seat before taking a drink from his glass.

I watched him come back with the glasses full of bloodwine. I smiled as he set mine down in front of me. "Thank you, kind sir," I said, blushing slightly at the compliment. I look at his face again. He looked so young... "So what are you doing in this place?" I asked out of curiosity. "Just out for the night or something more?" I took a sip and waited for his answer.

Damian returned her smile as he set his glass back down in front of him, nodding as she said thank you. "Your welcome." He replied before hearing her ask what he was doing in this place.. or if he was just out for the night or something more. Damian shook his head. "I was really just out for the night to explore... My sire is finally letting me look around and meet some people outside of the family. What about you?" He asked curiously, looking at her.

Letting him look around for new people to meet? That was an interesting turn of phrase I thought. I don't remember having to stay in with my clan for a certain amount of time but all clan's and families were different. I twirled the stem of my glass around and was silent for a second before I figured out how to answer. I laughed drily and said, "I am out seeking a bondmate, binding, however you would like to put it." I picked the glass up and took a healthy swallow before putting it down. "However, I feel I haven't gone about it the right way." I smiled miserably. "But one does not 'seek' a mate, can they?"
After taking another swallow of the wine, I brought the glass down on the table. "Forgive me," I murmured.

Damian listened to her talk about looking for a bond mate, and paused before answering her question. "Finding a bondmate.. is something I'm sure every vampire wants to do. However, it really doesn't work the way you might be thinking of. First you meet someone, become friends and spend time with them. Maybe then you move onto the next level as boyfriend and girlfriend. After some time, then you might be asked to be bound with someone. We live forever, and though our life can be lonely, we have to wait until we find that one person we connect with." He said before picking up his glass and taking another sip from his bloodwine.

I listened to Damien talk then sighed. I grimaced at the fact that he was right. I slowly swirled the wine in my glass, watching as the red liquid of the wine mixed with the blood. "You know... How did you come to be so wise?" I asked with a smile. "I dont think I could be so wise as that."
