Ok so this has been sitting in my head for awhile and i needed to get it out. Comment or not. I haven't written a poem in forever so forgive me for i'm sure it sucks. i'm posting it here because i'm a coward and the person it's written for/ about will never see it...
Rain "I love to watch the rain." She said standing on our front porch watching the water fall from the sky, a rare event in the Arizona desert. I shook my head but smiled from the doorway watching her watch the rain. Things had changed drastically and i knew soon things would come to an end, she would be leaving soon... to start her new life. Something i could only envy i thought as i walked back to my room which had become my own world. For once i felt as if i was stuck in the past, grasping and clinging onto a figure who was only a vague memory in my mind. The rain had washed away the girl i once knew and in her place stood a stranger. A stranger who had found things i could only dream of. Not even the rain she loved so much could wash away the rip that had come between us. And i could only hope that it wouldn't wash away her memories of the fun times we shared.
[/color] -Dedicated to my roommate Sarah congrats on your graduation and good luck in LA.
