Possessions: Prince has few possessions he can truly call his own but those that he does have he takes great pride and care in keeping them safe, often going so far as to risk his life for them. This is mostly because most of his possessions belonged to his parents or ancestors at one point.
Weapons: Prince have several weapons of which were given to him by his Father or from Anubis. He has two sets of samurai swords which consists of a Tanto a Wakizashi, and Katana. As well as two Kopesh given to him from Anubis.
Non-Weapons: The few possessions Prince has are stored either in his Chest or in his Mothers Tansu that holds his clothes and other small treasures such as his mothers Geisha Make up and his jewelry and a few sake sets.
Pets:
Horus: Horus is Prince’s Falcon, given to him by the Egyptian god of the sky Horus, hence the bird’s namesake. Horus is almost always with Prince in some for or another whether he knows it or not the bird follows him like a shadow. The two can communicate through telepathy and Horus can even use magic to take on a human form if he wishes, often helping prince out in tough situations by doing so. He is Price’s oldest friend and companion and the two share an unbreakable bond that has lasted several millennia. When in his human form Horus is known as Harakhty or ‘Hara; for short. He is very jealous and seemingly quick to rile and well not hesitate to make a forward gesture on Prince or one of his friends. He is a bit over protective at times but will usually mellow out once he gets used to the situation. Hara is sly and devious and will stop at nothing to get what he truly wants.
Bastet: Bastet was given to him by his grandfather as a kitten that he raised diligently into adulthood. She is always there for him when he needs her and will spend much of her time curled up in his lap if he will allow it. Again like Horus, she can communicate with Prince using telepathy. Though unlike Horus she is much more soft spoken and understanding, much like a mother to him than a pet. She also has a human form that she can take on but has rarely done so, despite Prince’s constant slight teasing of how beautiful she is. Bastet is always calm and collected, and seeming perfect in Prince’s eyes.
NPC’s:
Horus/Hara: (If you read the rest of it then you know enough about Horus that Nothing should be repeated.) Can be moved ONLY by me. His speech is blue.
Bastet: (Again same concept.) Can be moved ONLY by me or close family who have permission.) Her speech is purple.
Arian: Arian was once Prince’s secret lover. He is a servant of Set and there fore his enemy. When Prince became human thousands of years ago Arian felt he had been betrayed and in his anger gave over his soul to darkness and has since spent the last few millennia attempting to kill the one he betrayed him. In this generation Arian has killed of the rest of Prince’s human brothers, leaving him alone in the world with no one from his past. In his anger Prince retaliated and the two fought in a final duel to the death of which Prince was the victor. However recently vision of the past have been returning and Prince is beginning to question whether or not his previous lover really is dead. His speech is yellow.
Role playing Abilities:
The Sight: Prince has an ability known as the Sight, given to him by Anubis. The Sight gives Prince the ability to see a vision in water or even by just touching someone if their emotions are strong. He can see anything from past present and even future. Though the visions themselves are quite draining each one give him a new insight of something, which is why he uses it. It can also be used like scrying and can be used to locate a specific thing or person. He can also see through the eyes of Horus, his falcon when he is in flight, providing a safety from hunters or enemies as well as scouting out Humans. It is a difficult ability to master and still over the millennia he has much to learn of the powers inner workings but he is a diligent student and knows that this gift, though it may seem like a curse, is well needed.
Shape shifting: Prince was given the gift of shape shifting from Anubis, his Master. He can take only limited forms however and rarely finds the need to do so in this modern day and age. His forms are that of a white wolf, a red-tailed hawk, and a race known as an Anubite. Anubites are jackal-like warriors for Anubis that go about the earth waging wars and doing his bidding. Prince since coming to earth has only taken on this form a handful of times, as even in the ancient times there was no real need for it.
Telepathy: Prince can use telepathy with Horus and Bastet as well as people who have taken his blood in some shape or form. As a precaution from people prying into his mind, he tried to limit this effect by never allowing many people to drink from him. He has been learning to make it stronger but mostly only uses it if needed.
Healing: Prince can use his Egyptian magic to heal would, both internal and eternal on himself as well as others. Though the gift is a bit draining he feels t a necessary one t use and practice to try and make it grow stronger.
History:
It still fathoms me how much my life has changed since I first came into being. Throughout the centuries I have seen far more than my fair share of war and peace, as well as everything possible in between. It still amazes me to see just how much humans are like children, never learning from their mistakes.
Though I’m sure I was like them at one point, I have no memory at all from my days before my servitude to Anubis, as if those memories had been permanently stolen from my mind. My earliest memory is of the day Anubis came for me:
In those days, the Gods still occasionally walked among the people, giving wisdom and advice where needed. Even Set, the envisionment of evil was given prayer and offerings. Many children were given to the Gods in servitude at birth, should they ever have need of them. It seemed, apparently, that I was the first and only
boy in Egypt to be offered to Anubis.
Though I sometimes felt ashamed of the small mark upon my hip, I was a dutiful servant, praying daily at the temples and giving him the best offerings I could afford, going hungry that night or longer on more than one occasion. But I didn’t care, I wanted to prove to them… to prove to him, that I was worth something
Days turned to months, and then years as I soon grew into a, fairly average youth. While we humans below went about our daily lives, the Gods were having a quarrel about who would succeed them should the worst happen. After a year or so of bickering, they finally came to a solution. Each God would find one of the humans dedicated to them and name them their successor. However only the best were seen by the actual Gods after passing their messengers inspections and being cleaned up at the Temple.
Needless to say I felt awkward through the whole experience of having a large jackal physically inspect my body. Though I’m fairly sure he could tell I was male from simply my scent, he paid no mind to it and inspected me as if it were a common, everyday thing. Though it was true that I was built a bit feminine, this didn’t stop me from sparing and taking part in rough games.
I’d never really thought myself much like a girl, being raised in a village of mostly women, I quickly grew tired of their mindless gossip and coddling and feeble attempts to braid and decorate my ever growing hair.
I felt somewhat nervous the night before Anubis’ arrival as I lay on my cot at the Temple. My fingers absently played with the small mark on my hip, signaling my servitude. All of the girls had theirs on their breast. So why my parents chose such a place was beyond me. Were they ashamed at my gender? Or were they ashamed that they had dedicated me to Anubis?
Night came and went, despite my uneasiness and I was as jittery as ever. We were all lined up while the other Gods began to inspect and pick their favorite and ask the others for their opinion. Anubis was the only one absent and for some reason I felt like it was my fault.
Anubis’ arrival was far more than what people would call ‘fashionably late’. I myself had already given up hope that the God would come to claim any of us, much less me. My eyes stayed glued to the floor in a mix of sorrow and disappointment, but also to shield my eyes from the sun setting outside the entrance. It was only when I heard the others gasping and whispering in hushed tones that I glanced up and at once my body froze as I couldn’t help but stare in a mix of sheer awe and fear of the God that was Anubis.
His skin was as dark as the night sky and his frame was perfect for the form of a human, his fingers wrapped delicately around an ankh staff. His muscles glittered against his skin and his ears were up and highly alert. For me, at least, the room seemed to freeze, along with everything else, to where the only thing that mattered was Anubis. His eyes were what took me the most, unlike most who expected him to have dark eyes, they were a brilliant sapphire blue. The Goddess Isis simply smiled a bit knowingly at his lateness and sighed much like a mother would to her son. “Really Anubis, must you be late everywhere you go?” She chided softly, the God just gave a toothy grin, the trademark smile of the jackal. “But of course, It becomes boring to always arrive on time after so long.” He replied with a chuckle before setting his staff aside and clapping his hands together once and rubbing them together. “Now then,…” he stated simply, “Where are my lovely girls?”
Horus who was nearby with his own chosen child merely rolled his eyes and smiled lightly at the Jackal God’s womanizing antics. The other girls giggled excitedly and smiled, flirting shamelessly with the God as he came over to talk and inspect them. I , myself had turned my eyes back to the floor in a mix of hurt and shame. I didn’t even notice that the God was now to me, the last of the chosen children. I’m not sure how long he stood in front of me before he finally spoke, but when he did it quickly drew my attention. “Here now, why such a sad face? Am I really that scary to you child?” he asked a bit teasingly of me.
I gasped and looked up at him sharply, a daring and forbidden move. My eyes, likely tearstained met his and I quickly looked away in respect. “F-Forgive me my Lord.” I mumbled softly. He must have smiled, I know he did, for I saw it on his face as he raised my chin. “Let me see those lovely eyes.” He said softly, “Come child, do not be afraid to look at me.” He said softly. A few moments later I steadily rose my eyes to meet his. In an instant I felt his magic pry into my mind, seeking out my faithfulness to him and his temple. I must have been weak, for the next thing I remember His arms were around me and I was resting against his chest, my ear able to hear his heart beat.
I blushed and pulled myself back to steady myself and the God chuckled softly, only making my blush deepen. After a few moments of silence I dared to look up at him again. He smiled softly at me and leaned down to wipe away a stray tear from the corner of my eye and whispered softly to me. “Now there… no more crying.. My sweet Khana..” Again I gasped a looked up at him a bit shocked and he simply chuckled and stood back to his full height and nodded a bit as he turned away to head over to the others. “He’ll do.” He stated simply. Horus once more rolled his eyes and smiled a bit. “Honestly Anubis look at him. He’s barely even big enough to pass as a child, much les be a proper successor.”
The Jackal god smirked at the Ancient one once more. “You do not see the potential in him that I do Lord Ra.” He turned and rested a finger lightly at his chin. “Besides, is small frame and flexibility can be of great use on the battlefield, as well as for,… other things.” He replied with a slight lick of his lips. I swallowed hard, trying to hide the ever growing fear in my gut. Averting my eyes I glanced over to see the other successors the Gods had chosen. It was then that I first saw Arian.
Like me, he stood out, but not in the same way I did. His body was tall and lean and he looked perfectly built for battle, but it was his pale skin and hair that mesmerized me, and even more so were his liquid amber eyes shinning like the reflection of the water from the sun. He was beautiful. He glanced over and caught me staring, but somehow I was unable to tear my eyes away, entranced by him. He must have seen my fear for his eyes softened and he gave me a kind reassuring smile. I believe it was in that moment that I fell in love with him, though the small seed that was planted there was quickly buried, and stayed so for many more years.
When I came to I realized that one of Anubis’ jackal servants was lightly tugging me outside. The sun was bright and blinded me, in my own foolishness I nearly went tumbling down the stairs, but once again I was caught, this time my hands catching Anubis’ staff as he held it in front of me for support. He pulled me back softly against him and chuckled. “I can see we will have to work a bit on your full balance.” He said softly. “But don’t worry, Ra’s sun often blinds me to.. He seems to enjoy making it particularly so when he knows I am arising from the underworld.”
I had almost forgotten, Lord Anubis lived in the underworld with Lord Osiris. I bit my lip a little and glanced about me, would that mean I would never again get to see the wonderful sunlight? The God must have known my thoughts, or seen it written on my face, for he laid a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “Fear not Khana, you will see the sun again.” I blushed a little but nodded and smiled at him. For our own protection, the gods hid from us the entrance into their realm, so the last thing I remember of my first life, as looking at the River Nile glisten in the sunlight, my parents staring at me proudly from the bank side…..
