I'm curious as to what vampire lore most people like to adhere to. Anne Rice? Brahm Stoker? A mix of different ones? I personally like to mix it up. I LIKE having nems look into mirrors, and admiring crucifixes, a stake in the heart isnt gonna do much but piss her off, etc. Nems cant turn into mist or anything like that...she cant chew bubble gum and walk let alone be graceful enough to float i take pride in nems being rather clutzy. So what do you all prefer to make your writing unique and enjoyable?

Well, vulnerability to garlic and HW is a given. Sunlight burns. Don't normally sleep in coffins, but one of these days 'Lek might try it out for fun. Crucifixes don't do anything to her. She believes that items only hold as much power as you believe they do. Or something to that effect. >.> Can't be arsed to put more explanation into that. -.- Invitations are not needed to break into a dwelling. Running water is not a problem, neither is consecrated ground. o.o She doesn't have the urge to count small things strewn all over the place. A stake in the heart would prolly kill her though, depending on what type of wood it's made from. Apparently the ones that affect vampires are those made from trees over 500 years old. But I dunno? *shrugs* Decapitation would definitely kill her. <.< And Elektra can't turn into anything: mist, bats, other animals, etc.

Well for the most part. I took different pieces of different ideals on vampires and used them. There are vampires who nails are like razor blades, I took that idea and made them stronger then diamond they only grow so long, the longer they are the harder to use them of course. Chiru DOESN'T have a heart so a stake to the heart can't kill her, hurt her yes but not kill her. Her heart is a living thing (one of her wolves). Then add in the fact that crosses and other "holy objects" can't harm her because of her Spirit/Soul whichever you want to call it, is in another one of her wolves and is a living creature as well. Then her Soul/Mind, whichever you want to call it does stay with in her. So damage to the head causes problems for her, (normally just memory lose or a change of personality ) and then of course she has the body which remains as it is. Fire is no problem she can sit in the mist of flames and minus the fact that her clothing will burn she is fine. Water she can't "swim" but she can float and well "drown" But it won't kill her. She does have the problem (unless upset) of things being in order so while she would not stop to count things she would pick it up and put it where it belongs. She wouldn't stop to untie knots though. Cutting her up and things just destroys the body, puts her into a sleep state for 2 weeks and then a "new" body is form during that time, sorta like being reborn. Where from the ashes she comes back to life type of thing. So I guess she's not your 'normal' type of vampire. But she does eat raw meat (key word is raw) as in some myths that's what vampires did and I explain where and how it's done by the two parts of her that are living. Due to them she's able to take part in things that aren't normal. She is a thief so needless to say she doesn't need permission to enter a place, she also warm to the touch if her wolves are near (cold to the touch if not) she can look in the mirrors. She's also can survive on Nightshade Tea instead of blood when she wants. (Just not for long periods of time) She has tons of weaknesses such as crowds, enclosed places where she can't get out and of course her two living parts. She also has different personalities that aren't the normal Chiru most people cross.
