*Glances at name* Hello, I am new here, my boyfriend linked me the site and was all crazy about it, so here I go, giving it a shot. But I had a few things I couldn't figure out by reading.
Or maybe I didn't read it torough.
Anyways.
Is it possible to play a werewolf Without being sired and stuff? And is it possible to play a vampire wihout a sire? Oh and lastly (I am working on character ideas here) Is it possible to play a hunter? Meaning someone hunting vampires? I won't play the "WTF kill characters" type of character No no, I would play the hunter hunting those vampires I find evil and brutal and I will of course not kill any char unless the owner of the toon begs me to. That's not fair gaming after all.

yes you can play a werewolf or vampire with no sire if you choose, just contact a staff member and they will give you a 'clean' link to the game making you a master vampire. as for the hunter idea, me personally, i'd say no, but i am not the sole voice and rulemaker for this forum. it IS a do-able concept, but you are limited in where you can role play if you are playing a simple human. not to mention, you cant powerplay, and most vampires here adhere to the powers offered in the game, a human doesnt stand a chance. Even with the real hunters in the game, all we have to do is tire them out and yum.

I know a few people who play hunters turned vampires, or even a couple that's werewolves, but I've never heard of anyone actually playing as a mere human, it would be interesting to see, but Auntie's right, you wouldn't stand a chance

If I remember correctly, there was someone who played a hunter awhile back. Had a 'vampire' ingame and all. Not sure how he played that off, though. Then again, if you wanted to play a vampire hunter... There is always the possibility of being a dhampir (half vampire, half human). My character's newest childe is one, actually. Very interesting idea, I think.

dhampir? I've never head of one of those There are many different interpretations… It’s the product of a union between a male vampire and a mortal woman. Some say they’re always male, some say they can be female. They’re considered the perfect vampire hunters, as they have the advantages of a vampire, but no vampiric weaknesses. They’re also known to hate vampires. Again, it really just depends on how you want to view them.

Except if you consider the fact that... vampires are impotent in the way they can't reproduce. Their bodies are dead, so they don't have the bodily functions that would create active (living) semen.
And to come to the hunter question: So far, we've a few places where humans can roleplay, thus where you'd be able to play a human hunter for a while I guess, but you're limited to two boards I think, if not just one (I'd have to check). Another thing is, in rp, you can only kill NPC (non-playable characters) though of course you can shoot and wound them as you like.
You could in fact even use this NPC setting to have your character 'turned' and become a master werewolf/vampire in the game

*Pokes Cassandra* I was thinking of doing that, and if I may make my own little NPC story wise turn, fine with me. As for the actual hunting, I did expect myself to be limited to hunt NPC characters only as I hate powerplayers and people out to just destroy my own characters, I wouldn't do that, no no, way too much work there. Anyways. It's "Take your boyfriend to the park" day today, heh, or so he said *points at Christopher(Who I know for his mortal name Alexander of course, but I think you call him Christopher)* His rule, not mine. Anywho, I will make a character tomorrow, and I think he will be online later tonight (One computer, such a terrible flaw of our appartment.)

Yes, many of the new gamers simply prefer the guidance of a sire, but I find that there's plenty of people that would help you even without being family in game. So yea, personally I think there'd be plenty of vampires/werewolves out here that would looooooooove to rp with a hunter ((at least one of my alts, to begin with hahahaha)) just you can't kill 'em

Ah, yes... a female vampire cannot sustain life, but many believe there is a one in ten chance of a male vampire being able to procreate with a mortal woman. For example: In VtM (in which a lot of people from DA seem to base their characters and stories around), a 15th generation vampire and a mortal can produce a dhampir. But again, they're depicted in different ways throughout different cultures, fiction, etc. So, really... the possibilities are endless.

Valor (Aneres' Husband) was a hunter. A guild of vampire hunters who only hunt vampires who kill humans. Of course he has been forced to retire by the wife and she was made the head figure of the guild, not that she really does anything besides look good.
Not really all that strange to play a hunter.

Not really. Some sites have a rule not to bring up old topics. This isn't one of them but I've seen sites like that.
