Byron Lunar
Name: Byron Lucy Lunar
Birthday: 19th of August, 1984
Starsign: Leo
Personality: Byron is very strange, and some wonder whether there might not be something mentally wrong with her. She's very quiet, and when she speaks her words may either seem profound, or completely random. Byron will watch those around her and will judge them according to their actions and their words. She's been heralded as a very good judge of character. If she does not like a person, she will not hide it. The same goes for when she likes a person. Though she may appear to be flimsy and inconstant, she is loyal and faithful and this will only become apparant when the occasion calls for it.
History: Byron's parents were both very eccentric; thus the reason why she is called 'Byron'. Both parents wished to have a son whom they could call Byron, one which they could raise to become a literary genius. When they instead had a girl, they still named the child Byron, and tried to raise her as a literary genius. Since a very young age, Byron was taught to read the classics. She is well versed in the romantic poets and the classical authors. She was homeschooled as her parents didn't want her to have any outside influences. In consequence, Byron did not learn how to properly socialize, which explains her odd behaviour around strangers.
As she spent a lot of time at home and not out playing with friends, Byron learnt to submerge herself completely in her own fantasies. It was how she would entertain herself. Because of this, she is not a very rational person. She is very spontaneous and is never stressed. Her father died of cancer when she was seventeen, and her mother followed a few months after. Byron did not cry. Being so submerged in an alternate reality created by her own imagination, Byron saw the death of her parents as a tragic story. Almost something Shakespeare would write about. They each left her a fortune, so she has not had to worry about work or finding her way in the world.
Byron also had a beloved Aunt, who was her escort. She would take Byron to lunch and dinner, to the theatre and to operas. Her aunt was a qualified psychologist and was well versed in the ways of body language. She taught Byron how to discover a lie via the smallest details. How to discover how a person was feeling or what they were thinking via body langauge and the sound and tone of a voice. She would practice on those they would watch at the theatre, or at the many restaurants they attended. It was Byron's favourite past time.
She has a police record. A man by the name of Tom Hardigan placed a restraining order on her; she is an adept stalker, though she does not see herself as such. Tom Hardigan is no longer known as Tom Hardigan; he has changed his name and relocated so that Byron could not find him.
Despite such set backs, Byron believes in story-book love, and is looking to be unceremoniously swept off her feet. It is this occupation and obsession which has brought her to RavenBlack. She had heard through the grapevine that the city was known for odd occurrences. It's very nature and description intrigued her and drew her to it. It seemed the perfect setting for a Gothic Romance.
Personality Traits
Byron is very fickle when concerning her personality. It would seem she does not have one of her own. Reading takes up much of her time, and after a while she'll take on the traits of the main character within the book she is reading. Generally, she reads books and stories about heroes and heroines, whose natures are often virtuous, honourable, courageous and chaste.
Main characters have their flaws too, of course. Byron's flaws are found in her fickleness and short attention span. If a person is not grand enough to hold her attention, they will lose it. Byron will lose all interest, and will no doubt pretend as if the person is no longer there. It is because of this flaw that Byron fails to maintain many friendships. [/center]
