Shape shifting: If you play a shape shifter, such as a werewolf, dragon, ferret, or cat. Your powers for shape shifting shouldn’t come out until you have gained a few powers.
With Angels or even Neko (cat demons) who only have ears or tails, this could be simply for hiding those things and/or bringing them out. While with Werewolves, dragons and those who take actually other form no human (or reverting back to human form) must change the whole body, the pain level would be slightly different.
These powers as well as reasons are listed below:
Stamina (1) - With Stamina (1) your character can now shape shift, however you should understand that it will be slow and painful process. That could in theory every take hours to be fully transformed.
Stamina (2) - Your character can now shape shift with far less pain, it is still painful process in either case and it should be roleplayed as such. If you do not have and Celerity, it is still a slow process.
Stamina (3) - Your character can now shape shift with almost no pain, it can still be very drawn out if you do not have any levels of celerity and can still cause the character to in the process of changing forms to feel the pain as it builds up and lasts.
Celerity - With Celerity (1), (2) and (3) your character can as long as they have Stamina (1), shape shift in less amount of time. It does not aid how much painful it may be but it can at least cause the pain to get over slightly faster then without Celerity (1), (2) or (3). The higher the Celerity level the less amount of time it takes.
Magic is something many people like to have and use. However with magic, you still have powers that play off those skills. Depending on the type of magic user you wish to be. You should have your powers reflect those. (Illusionist and Tekesis please click here) This doesn’t matter, what type of magic user you may be. Wizard, Witch, Elemental ect. Powers are in this game that can be used to help you roleplay such things, and not to over do it.
These powers as well as the reasons why are listed below:
Shadows (1) - With Shadows (1) you are now free to cast, magic spells. Such as fire, lighting, and water for example. You should not at all, be able to move the whole earth, huge body of water, or be anything like Storm from the X-men. Your magical skills are in fact weak, and may simply soak someone or cause them to jump slightly from the ‘shock’ of you actually hitting them. Without Celerity, it takes time for you to still build up the energy needed to cause such attacks.
Shadows (2) - Your magical skills have gained, it now can burn slightly in force, you can perhaps hit more then one, cause more energy to gather together to cause slightly more damage. However, again you should never move huge amounts of earth, water or anything else like that. Without Celerity levels you again take time to build up the energy needed to cause such attacks.
Shadows (3) - Now you have a good deal of magical powers. You are still unable to move huge bodies of water or earth but at least your power has grown enough to do some nice damage if need be. Again without Celerity levels you again take time to build up the energy needed to cause such attacks.
Celerity - With Celerity (1), (2) and (3) the higher your celerity level the faster you can perform your magic, you should note that the highest level can cause you to cast the spell right then and there, if it’s a smaller scale attack, while Celerity (1) would take a lot of time to do such things, (for example could take about 10 minutes with Celerity (1) and Shadows (3) to attack someone) Also with Celerity, you are able to switch better from one type of magic to another, as well as from attack to blocking.
Stamina - Stamina level helps in how well you are able to take another person’s attack, as well as how powerful your attack can hit someone. Someone with a higher Stamina level may not be hit as well, as someone with no stamina level. Not only that the faster you are at blocking or attacking them in return.
As there already are powers in this game, people should understand that upon turning you don’t become ‘super powerful’ or ‘super fast’ or even ‘super strong’ you fit in still rather nicely with the human world still. Upon turning you become in many ways. The top of the breed of humans, able to keep up with just about the faster human, the strongest human in the game. Making it easier for you character to catch every day humans far easier.
As you gain powers, you then can go after the stronger type of humans that would put up a far greater fight and most likely win against them.
For a better look into how to roleplay these powers, please go to:
Celerity (1) - Upon reaching your first level of Celerity, your character becomes about as twice as fast as a normal human. This means, that your character can out run the fastest living human, and if their lucky keep going long enough to take them down, you are still seen rather easily by a human, as you are yet not just a ‘blur’ in motion.
Game Wise: You now gain 1 AP every 25 Minutes
Celerity (2) - Upon reaching your second level of Celerity, your character becomes about three times as fast as a normal human, this means, that you to the normal human eye, become nothing more then a blur running towards them or away.
Game Wise: You now gain 1 AP every 20 Minutes
Celerity (3) - Upon reaching Celerity (3), the world can almost seem to stop for you, when it is in truth moving as normal speed, you have become so fast, that to the human eye, you are simply one place then the other, there is no blur of motion. (Think the Matrix) when you have returned back to normal, things as well go back to normal speed.
Game Wise: You now gain 1 AP every 15 Minutes
Charisma (1) - Upon reaching this, you have picked up a few ways to deal with mortals and their likes. You know how to charm them or threaten them depending on the case to get things a little cheaper but it takes some trying. This doesn’t effect your character’s looks.
Game Wise: Shop Prices Drop: 3% Pub Prices Drop: 10% Asking a Human for Directions: 4 AP
Charisma (2) - Your charm, either by threatening or being sweet, can now help you get away with most every day things. You find that you don’t even have to try as much as you used to. Things become a far bit cheaper then with Charisma (1). This doesn’t effect your character’s looks.
Game Wise: Shop Prices Drop: 7% Pub Prices Drop: 20% Asking a Human for Directions: 2 AP
Charisma (3) - You now can get away with just about anything in the city, either because of the fear you know how to send into a human’s very core upon opening your voice or because you know how to charm your way into their hearts. Things are far cheaper when you buy them. This doesn’t effect your character’s looks.
